Anita Babyface and The Tastie Ponies – “Self Titled” (Dirty Witch Records) Over-produced poppy punk rock with female vocals. The singer reminds me of if the Distillers chick had a less gravelly voice… Also, their band name is fucking ridiculous. The first track, “Cindy”, drags on a little long, but the 2nd song kicks it up a notch. The choruses seem a little rushed, and don’t really click with me. “Why was I Here” is probably my favorite song on this release. I’d listen to this while washing dishes and straightening up my living room waiting for my girlfriend to come over.
