The Waste Aways – “We Won’t Be Silenced” – Sometimes the titles to albums are ironic for a reason and sometimes they’re just accidentally ironic. This album has to be the latter, otherwise someone got me pretty good. This 9 song, 26.4minute long album is filled with poorly mastered songs with simple punk riffs and beats that are slightly off time and some of the worst vocals I’ve heard in a long time. The singer’s voice doesn’t carry any resemblance to a tune and literally made me wince from the overall tone more than once. The back up vocals and some of the beats of the band sound bored, seems forced, and out of place. Seriously do these guys have friends? They can’t otherwise they would have told The Waste Aways to practice more and get a different singer. Normally this is were I tell people to stay away from this band and not torture yourself, but this time around I encourage you to hear this for yourself. This shit is past bad and is just comical. So bad in fact when I turned off the album I literally just breathed a sigh of relief.
