– This is a book compiled of a few old fanzines written by Nate Ganglehoff along with some other randomly obscure observations and opinions. The book touches on the obvious ridiculousness of anti-drug campaigns of Video games, Comic Books, the government and everything else. One of some of the observations was of a company that made pencils that said “Don’t Do Drugs” which as described in the book , states that when sharpened down , the pencils make another statement “Do Drugs”. Not only does “You Idiot” tackle the never ending issue of the drug culture but dares to venture into dangerous world of WWF wrestling Good vs. Evil rap offs. After dissecting the intricate world of professional wrestling rap albums, Nate plays chicken with Jesus Christ our Lord and savior himself. The book embraces the world of religion and how Satan has overtaken every moral fiber of our existence, right down to the kids.
That’s right the FUCKING KIDS man! Nate found some books and tells his readers about the Satanic perils of toys such as My Little Pony, HeMan, Pokemon, Rainbow brite and beyond.
“You Idiot” dives into a few other topics of discussion allowing Nate to do some other warped reviews of things such as; 80’s bands, Hardcore Bands, Self Help Books, etc…
Overall the book is decent and filled with hilarious moments. It does start a little slow and at times drags on to one point 5-10 pages to long, but it is much more entertaining then reading the my reviews or watching the nightly news .
