Eddie & The Louvers – “Drink, Drink, Drink” – Crack open another case of cold cans, I think that Eddie and The Louvers like to drink and play punk rock music. They sure seem to sing about it a lot and it appears that cold beer is their drink of choice and hard fast chords filled with “Hey” & “Whoa –oh” gang chorus’s are their punk rock of choice. Either way you get a 1-2 punch of each in just about every song. Eddie & The Louvers mix blue collar drunken punk rock, blood pumpin’ bass intros and incredible guitar solos that produce solid and unpredictably powerful punk ballads. I've become really fond of these guys since their last release. Energy is something that is not missing from Drink, Drink, Drink. In fact, the energy is just as strong if not more in some of the tracks like “Ready To Fuck, Super Buffet 2000 & Banned in Bristol.” There is only one song that I didn’t enjoy on this CD (just like the prior release); “Ghost” a punk cover of Casper the friendly ghost. These drunken New England motherfucker’s are killing me with that song.
