Teenage Rehab – “Goodbye Sanity”

Teenage Rehab – “Goodbye Sanity” In a past review of Teenage Rehabs prior release “More Than A Job” I felt that they had too much of a Modern Rock sound for my liking. On “Goodbye Sanity” there is a hell of a lot more core punk influence. This EP bangs out 5 infectious cuts, but the song “Suicide” stands out to me as a signature anthem that will put Teenage Rehab over the top. “Suicide” instantly reminded me of the old Suicidal Tendencies song “Institutionalized”.  They both possess hypnotizing drum beats, bouncy bass lines & frantic vocals. I know to many people this comparison is complete blasphemy, but I can’t help it if Teenage Rehab hit a homerun with this one. The other four songs on this EP will not disappoint you either, they have subtle influences of The Queers, Black Flag & The Descendents in a way that allows their own style to flow through without leaving you thinking you’ve heard them before.
